The Star Wars universe just grew larger as Disney revealed the first teaser trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. In it, you’ll see the main characters that began the whole idea of a “rebellion” against the forces of evil.
Gareth Edwards, director of the critically-acclaimed Monsters, takes the helm for Rogue One, working from a script by Chris Weitz, John Knoll and Gary Whitta. The film stars Felicity Jones, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, Donnie Yen, Ben Mendelsohn, Forest Whitaker, Diego Luna, Alistair Petrie, Jonathan Aris, Riz Ahmed, Genevieve O’Reilly, Arthur L. Bernstein, Emeson Nwolie, Sam Wilkinson, Wen Jiang, Daniel Eghan, Mac Pietowski, Andrei Satalov, Anthony Toste, Attila G. Kerekes, James Henri-Thomas, Jamie Delf, Nick Walters and Sam Hanover.
The plot for Rogue One is being kept tightly under wraps, but it has been revealed that the film tells a prequel story about the Death Star (although this may be a smoke screen, why would the filmmakers tell a story again). All we really know for sure is that Rogue One hits theaters on December 16, 2016 and that we will be in line to watch the movie.
